Celebrating Christmas in the Midst of Battle
This morning Darlene saw trumpets blowing. She thought of Christmas approaching but in the middle of trumpets of celebration to the Lord blowing, she saw they signaled a battle cry. There is a wind blowing at this time. It is a new season. It is a dual season. It is celebrating the glory and might of the Lord, but also being alert in the battle. God set up an ordinance for the use of trumpets in the Old Testament. Numbers 10:9-10 NASU “When you go to war in your land against the adversary who attacks you, then you shall sound an alarm with the trumpets, that you may be remembered before the Lord your God, and be saved from your enemies. Also in the day of your gladness and in your appointed feasts, and on the first days of your months, you shall blow the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; and they shall be as a reminder of you before your God. I am the Lord your God.” A Different Way This Christmas season has presented itself in a different way. We still celebrate the Lord, but we do it in holy battle gear. One of the most important gifts to be operating in is discernment, along with the prophetic. Dave Wagner, a prophet and friend of Darlene’s who has worked with Heidi Baker just prophesied this over us, “I felt like I am causing Aglow to ignite. I saw these shockwaves going throughout the land and I saw the scales of justice spin almost like a windmill until it was stopped and was balanced again. I saw the Lord say that I am about to send reinforcement angels even into Canada. The Lord said I am about to overrule the plans, the schemes, and the judgments of the enemy. There is a sound from the north, there is a sound from the Canadian Church. There is a sound of even the intercessors beginning to rise up. I feel like there is this stirring right now of the anointing and the calling of the intercessor coming forth in the nation of Canada. You are about to experience a release like a holy convocation upon the land. I felt like the Lord said that there is an assembling of the Ekklesia together. There is a gathering of the Senate of God together…” Click HERE to read the rest of Dave’s word for every province and our Nation The Sound of Trumpets The story of Gideon records the use of trumpets. Judges 7:20-21 NASU “When the three companies blew the trumpets and broke the pitchers, they held the torches in their left hands and the trumpets in their right hands for blowing, and cried, a sword for the Lord and for Gideon! Each stood in his place around the camp; and all the army ran, crying out as they fled.” Each stood in their place. Each stood in their assigned position. Having done all to stand, WE STAND! Then in faith, the Lord caused the enemy to flee. Gideon instructed the army to break the jars and blow the trumpets. They had to let the light shine and blow the trumpets. We have to shatter the darkness and blow the trumpet with our decrees. Renaming the Church Job 22:28 AMP “You shall also decide and decree a thing, and it shall be established for you; and the light [of God’s favor] shall shine upon your ways.” In the New Testament the Romans were persecuting the church. In Antioch, the believers were renamed. What if God is renaming the church to operate more as the Ekklesia? What if we, for such a time as this, have been renamed? What if we are also carriers of that renaming? This is not the time to give up or give in to the surrounding darkness but rather be in agreement with His word! Time to Fight Philippians 4:13-14 NASU “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.” This is not a time to give up or give in and accept the status quo. It is time to rise and fight, moving in the wisdom of the Lord. Even our National anthem states, “God keep our land, glorious and free. O Canada, we stand on guard for thee!” It is time to fight for the future and God-given purpose of our Nation. Go forth in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Celebrate His birth gloriously in the midst of the battle. With Love & blessings, Aglow International Canada National Team |
