IMPRESSIONS from AGLOW CANADA’S MANITOBA GATHERING
Winnipeg, April 17-18, 2026

Danyele, Shelley & Darlene from the Canadian National Apostolic Team (CNAT) travelled to Winnipeg April 24-25 to connect with the Aglow family in Manitoba, share about the advent of a new beginning in Aglow Canada, and hear their hearts. They met with leaders Friday evening and participated in a public meeting Saturday morning. Many of those present on Saturday were either new to Aglow or longtime Aglow people who were reconnecting. What is growing in Manitoba Aglow is a living expression of God’s heart. Their gatherings are not just events, but invitations into encounter, into family, and into God’s unfolding purpose. Danyele observed that the group is composed of elderly women who love God and are real with one another. They have been woven together by years of friendship and by the Holy Spirit in their midst. They’ve given themselves to a weekly Zoom Prayer Call that has built oneness, love and spiritual strength. Each one told Danyele they love these calls because of the oneness, the richness and the leading of the Spirit. They pray for each member of the CNAT and their families. They also host a monthly breakfast that truly reflects who they are, creating space for connections, encouragement, and strengthening relationships. People enjoy being together, are engaged, and linger after the breakfast for a time of personal ministry. Regularly, they extend that connection through a public gathering, opening the door for others to encounter the Aglow community and be part of what God is doing with a time of worship and shared testimony. And God’s Spirit is present with them. The Manitobans were very happy to hear Danyele share her journey as President of Aglow International Canada and her vision for Aglow going forward. They felt blessed by the warmth of the National Team members and encouraged by personal prayer ministry for everyone who wanted it. They reported feeling affirmed in their direction, which is remarkably consistent with the vision to revive the original DNA of Aglow. What we witnessed in Manitoba is not just a faithful group continuing on. It’s a glimpse of something deeper that God is restoring among us: people drawn together by His Presence, forming relationships, and being led by His Spirit. We were encouraged because what we are seeing in Manitoba feels both like a return and a new beginning.

OTTAWA PRAYER SUMMIT REPORT

The National Aglow Prayer Summit in Ottawa March 26-28, 2026, was advertised as a strategic prayer gathering to launch out in Kingdom authority – and that it was! The Summit closed a week that began with the National Prayer Breakfast, followed by Canada’s first ever Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast. Some of our Aglow members attended all three meetings, as well as some related events. This was the week the House of Commons passed Bill C-9, which expands the definition of hate speech to encompass passages in religious texts, including the Bible. Strategic? Yes!

Aglow began in 1967 with a group of four women gathering around a kitchen table, hungry for more of God and seeking the Holy Spirit for direction. Our Summit took us back to that original DNA of an intimate group who put aside human agendas and wait on the Lord together for revelation and direction. We know we have “crossed over” into a new season that is taking us back to the beginning, and there is no returning or resorting to the human structures and systems that, over the years, encumbered the original model.

Shelley Rogers, Aglow Canada’s Prayer Coordinator, had the original vision to call people together for the Summit. The National Apostolic team confirmed her vision and turned leadership for the event over to the Holy Spirit. Marielle Blais from Ontario, who has the calling of a minstrel and experience following the Spirit, led worship. National Rep Karen Latimer connected and organized everyone like a mama gathering her family for a home-cooked meal.

On Day 1 of the Summit, people shared testimonies of how they had grown in Aglow. Some who had not been involved in Aglow for years since their local lighthouse closed, felt called to attend this meeting. One topic of conversation was the nature of “wells”, which are a way of gathering that is replacing the “lighthouse” model of the past. National President Danyele shared her vision for Aglow Canada that began in January 2006 with a prophetic dream, has matured over 20 years, and has now arrived: we have shifted from Program to Presence, from Structure to Spirit, from Meeting to Family, from Doing to Being and from Organization to Movement.

Day 2 was a day for extended worship, prophetic declarations over every province and territory in Canada, and further vision casting. The National Team anointed everyone for “breakthrough and beyond”. We listened attentively and were moved by a testimony from Donna K., who ran into obstacles after concluding that God was calling her to attend this meeting. Donna is almost blind, requires a guide, and needs wheelchair support in airports. She had hoped to share costs with a travelling companion, but none was available. Nevertheless, knowing she was supposed to be there, she came, and God met every need abundantly. Everyone who attended the Ottawa Summit came because they knew they’d been called.

On Day 3, teams were formed to provide personal prophetic ministry for all who desired. Then we returned home – to Newfoundland, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Vancouver Island – each of us pregnant with something to be birthed in our regions.

Here are some reflections from those who attended the Prayer Summit:

  • I am so grateful to have received a prophetic word and look forward to unpacking it further.
  • It was agenda free and Holy Spirit led.
  • I left there sensing that people were given an assignment as to how they can be a GameChanger in their own region even if they gather with a small number of believers.
  • Aglow people are being transformed to a movement following God in the power of the Holy Spirit and becoming the mature, visible body of Christ Jesus.
  • It encourages me that wells are uncapped by family gatherings and small clusters rather than large assemblies.
  • I firmly believe going to Ottawa is on my agenda in the near future, aiming to transform the nation’s capital from a place known primarily for politics into a city of prayer!
  • God was doing something with the number 26: we announced the new vision March 26, 2026, we met in Room 126, the numerical value of YHWH is 26, and Genesis 1:26 states we are made in God’s image to have dominion.
  • Dutch Sheets’ Give Him 15 post on March 26, 2026 summed up what was spoken of at the Prayer Summit in Ottawa: “When darkness seems to be at its peak, God often doesn’t look for a massive, polished army to turn the tide. He looks for a “remnant” – a small, consecrated group of people who have refused to bow their knee to the spirit of the age.” We were a Gideon’s army.
  • We truly moved as a family, and being there was a Spiritual experience as we came together in the Presence of God. Every aspect of the new DNA was present and fully operating in our midst. Going back to the beginning is not a step back but a step forward into the future of Aglow.
  • Ontario is a first fruit well in the governmental heart of the nation. Family was God’s original government. The Ontario group is mature because they’ve walked it out over 9 years.
  • I have a definite warm sense of anticipation of new life…a new story being written…Aglow Canada? Your story starts here.
