Harvest of Love This last spring, I had a thought to plant potatoes on my son in-law’s acreage a few kms outside our community. No one has lived on his acreage for a many years. Weeds and thistles had overtaken the yard. My family joined me and we worked the earth and created a garden space. We sowed 30 lbs. of potato seed, put up a fence with fishing line around the garden to keep the deer out and it worked! My husband and I made many trips and enjoyed our potato adventure as we watered, weeded and prayed for the land. The land felt forlorn and hopeless. The sweetness of God’s presence was there with us for this assignment as we prayed for healing restoration, and heaven on earth over this land. It was time to check for new little potatoes; our first fruit to taste and eat. We dug around the plant and behold one was shaped like a heart. I grabbed it, held it up and said, “you are amazing God, I sow potatoes and you give me back a heart, a harvest of love”!! My grandson heard the story and wanted in on the action. So we prayed and asked the Lord to show us where another heart shaped potato would be. Sure enough another heart shaped potato was found. A Potato Party was planned for harvest. I marveled at our grandchildren’s enthusiasm, waiting for the next hill to be dug and hoping for a heart shape potato or a large one to tote to the wheelbarrow. My husband weighed the potatoes in pails and calculated roughly 600 pounds. Out of a thistle bed came a harvest and multiplication!! Jesus was sown into the earth, he is the medicine, the antidote given to counteract and bring transformation supernaturally to its original design!! We are his seed that carry the light being multiplied in the earth to bring Heaven here! God wants us to reveal his heart to us experiencing new ways to see Him move in our families, regions and in our Nation!! Romans 8:19, “For the eagerly awaiting creation waits for the revealing of the sons and daughters of God”. These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us. (2 Corinthians 4:17) Isaiah 61:3 says, “So they will be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified”.
